About the Area

High Rock Lake is located only minutes from I-85. And less than an hour from either the Charlotte-Douglas or the Piedmont Triad Airport. Our house is only two miles from Southmont and NC Hwy 8 South. With over 300 miles of shoreline, the lake has hosted the Bass Masters Tournament three times in the last five years. In fact, we have seen several 3 and 4-pound bass caught right off our dock. We have also caught crappie and catfish and rarely get skunked.

The view from our house is almost completely unobstructed — all we can see is lake and trees and jumping fish, turtles, herons, ducks and the occasional osprey or bald eagle. There are several boat launches nearby, so whether you want to fish, swim off the dock, or just enjoy the view, it's all right here. Privacy and peace and quiet are yours.

Accommodations

The main level has a Master Bedroom with a king-sized bed, a loft with two twin beds, a full bathroom, gourmet kitchen and large living room overlooking the lake. The kitchen offers a Jenn-Aire range, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. There's also a deck for outdoor dining.

If you need more room, the lower level is fully self-contained and is accessible by a separate entrance. It has a king-sized bed, full bathroom, living room and kitchenette, with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The lower level also enjoys a covered porch.

Both kitchens are equipped with dishes, glasses, and cookware. Both units share a laundry on the lower level. There is parking for several cars, as well as space for a boat trailer.
